I am currently constructing a Kolderstock statenjacht model which is heavily decorated with resin moldings. Many of the moldings are rather large end very difficult to fit to the contours of the model. I have found the best solution is to microwave the moldings (~1 min) which makes them sufficiently pliable to match the surface of the hull. Under these conditions the surface details on the resin are not compromised.
