Revel 1:96 USS Constitution by 11320 Titanic

check your ratlines and you should see where the back stays go.
That’s it. The standing rigging instructions show back stays, but absolutely do not reference of show the six lines I’m talking about that come through the hull. I’ve given up trying to get this resolved and get an answer. I’m going to connect them wherever I darn well please and call it good.

Thanks again for your attempts to help.

Those six line through the hull ARE the back stays. Don't give up! The back stays originate inside the hull and attach to the fore mast, main mast and mizzen mast.
. Follow the instructions, follow the back stays from the exit point on the hull to the attachment points on the masts.

While I don't have the kit, I was able to find the instructions here.

Page 9 of the hull and mast instructions show the six line you are referring to marked with an "*".

Then, on page 18 of the rigging instructions, the proper rigging is shown, again marked with an "*"

Hope this helps.

Help? You’re my savior. My instructions, and I have two different sets, have none of these details. PERFECT!

Thank you much. I’m off to rig these lines.

I thought I’d be done with the Cutty Sark before I figured this out. I was confident they were back stays, I just didn’t know the rigging details.

Interesting, but as I scanned over both my standing and running rigging instructions, neither showed anything even close to your details.

Thanks again.

Glad I could be of service. If you went to the site I linked, you'll see they have two versions of the manual, one from 2014 and one from 1974. I used the 2014 version. The 1974 version does actually show them (well, at least two that I could see), but not nearly as clearly (plus, the instructions are not in English).

Good luck!

I tried the site you linked. I can get to the “home page” but it won’t load any of the instruction sheets for me. I’m going to keep trying. It might be that I work through my iPad. Some sites don’t like iPad.

If you can't get them, send me your email address in a private message and I will download them and email them to you. Let me know if you want the 2014, 1974 or both.

Thank you. I’ll work at it a bit first. Those couple of pages you attached were perfect!
