On the first Connie I built (wrecked by the cat) the gun carriages were glued onto a Scale Deck, I used Alene's Glue, and had a problem with the gun carriages working loose. I am doing a Connie from a kit a buddy gave me, and am using an HIS gun deck, sprayed with a coat of lacquer...any suggestions for the glue?
The Revell model is not exact, it is a representation of the Connie, and the transom that came with the kit seems a little ornate for a war ship. I am inclined to do both bow sprit and transom in white, instead of the colors suggested in the directions. Any comments or ideas on that?
Also, touching up the paint on the hull, which would be better, semi gloss or flat black?
