Hi all,

I joined March 15 as new member. To start light I will build the Revell 1:50 Vikingship. Its a nice clean kit with not that many parts. Reason that I build it is to test some techniques in painting plastic as wood.
No clean workbenches with me ;) I'm a real ADHD guy (Is this term used in English?): Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. So a little chaos is always part of the deal with me.

Hull; 2 halves with a good fit. Little flash, little work:

After 5 minutes preperation they where glued together:

While the glue dries I test-fitted the deck:

It fits very well so I don't expect problems there. Meanwhile the both "heads" prepared:

Stay tuned, more to come!

Thanks Kurt Thumbsup

After dinner upstairs to do the head ornaments. Glued them together, let them dry, smoothened the seam and glued them on the ship:

Its only possible to glue them both in the right place, they are notched so they always go on the good way.

Glued the mast halves together:

And let the assembly dry. Now I need a cup of coffee! Later

Today I did a paint test with Revell Aqua 382:

Looks good to me, will tone down after aging and weathering.

Then I did the deck twice, photo is 5 minutes after the second layer:

Needs one more layer. And test fitted in the ship:

Tip of the mast went wrong with drying of the glue yesterday:

Fixed that, photo tomorrow. Stay tuned!
