Hello! Very nice\well build model. Is this kit based or scratch build from plans?

It is a Mantua kit, but used very little of the supplied wood. The kit had balsa for the first layer of planking, that went straight in the bin and I used lime wood I had on hand. The second layer of planking was poorly cut pale walnut so that also went in the bin and I used a dark walnut that I had with one plank of ramen for a bit of colour. Overall a disappointing kit that I only made as a request from a daughter. I probably should have just bought the plans and done a scratch build as I had enough stuff lying around to complete it. Oh well, live and learn as they say.
