Hi, I'm Ron Walston. I'm Air Force retired, 20 years. I also retired from McDonnell/Boeing in Salt Lake City. During my time with Boeing, I also worked for the DoD for a couple of years. I have always liked the old Galleys. Built a few of the plastic ships; I'm currently building the 1/130 scale Cap'n Kidd's Adventure Galley. It has been a pain and a pleasure.

Welcome, Ron! Please post your build log as we love pics and experiences! Also, many of us can relate to "It has been a pain and a pleasure". :p

Welcome aboard, Ron! The best way to have fun on SoS is to tap into all of the build logs, shared experiences and knowledge, and friendly repartee that we share here. My areas of interest include 17th century Dutch naval/commercial vessels, Mid-Atlantic fishing boats and working oyster / lobster boats, and windjammers powered by sail and petrol from the 1850's to the 1930's. But I try not to tie shrouds and ratlines if I can avoid it! Fair winds and following seas!
