Sail250 Boston Today!

Today we welcomed the tall ships coming to Boston Harbor for Sail250. During the Parade of Ships and as the tugboats were moving each vessel to their respective berths, we saw:

Mayflower II
Gorch Fock
Esmeralda
Sagres
Kalmar Nyckel
Oestershelder
USCG Eagle
Amerigo Vespucci
Pride of Baltimore II
Virginia
Elissa
U.S.S. Constitution
Lynx
Juan Bautista Cambiaso
Nantucket Lightship (not part of Sail250, but still cool to see)
And many others.

On the way up to Boston we spent a night and day in Mystic, Connecticut to see the Mystic Seaport & Museum. Besides seeing the Charles W. Morgan unfurl her sails, boarding the schooner L.A. Dutton to see her re-framing, and seeing the Emma C. Berry Noank Smack up close, we visited several shops such as the cooperage, the mast hoop shop, the ropewalk, and wood mill. Wish we had more than 3/4 of a day to see everything!
