Sailor knots

Since about 1 month i’m rerigging my Adler von Lübeck which i built it 20 years ago. That’s why i’m so intensed to the knods .It is a nightmare to work on an allready built model. The yarns I treat again with bee wax before rigging. This treatment improves lifetime, strength an decreases pilling

The New Bedford Whaling museum had at one time an entire gallery dedicated to knots and Clifford Ashley. Unfortunately, that exhibit was replaced in 2019.

https://archive.org/ has a boatload of books on knots. Most are "Books to Borrow." But if you dig into the list there are some that you can download free for keeps. (Hover on the cover pic to see download type.)

https://www.gutenberg.org also has a few.

Please do not use this knowledge to fashion scale models of conflict vessels. Please build models that represent joy and production, not fear and destruction. Please do not show war implements to children.

Thank you for your response. You are of course right saying there are boatloads of books and download facilities about that subject. When i started ship modeling there was not that much literature, even Google came after 18 years. These page with sailor knots i attached to my post is is from a 40 years old book, which a Yachting İnsurance Company distributed it as a privilage to their customer.
Now adays you need to push some bottoms to get nearly every info on every topic.
I only wanted to give a push for the sailor knots as a topic for the SoS Community.
I found the response from the community member rtibbs also practical .He recommended https://www.animatedknots.com/boating-knots.
Kind Regards and a Happy Sunday
