I just completed model shipway Skip Jack, and wanted to go to the next level. I started building the AL Sanson. It appealed to me because it does not have a lot of detailed rigging (I don’t have any experience with rigging other than the simple Skip Jack rigging) and according to the Internet, the planking on this model might be a good level of complexity for my skills.I must have an older version because none of the parts are actually numbered and AL’s construction video shows a different way of constructing the ribs. I was able to find a set of numbered parts on the Internet, but the parts sheets were not the same as the ones I have so I tried to eyeball them as best I could and once put into the keel, I tried to make sure that the sequencing in terms of length of the rib was correct (smaller in the bow, getting larger to the midships and then getting narrower to the Stern). I also pulled the thread across the ribs to see if they seemed out of alignment.
