Santisima Trinidad 1:84 from Artesania Latina

I was going to suggest the following for future builds, but as you have not finished the upper deck you may find the following useful. There have been several posts on this here at SoS that you can search as well. It is one of those little things that many kits ignore for some reason that baffles me as it would not cost them anything to get it right.

The battens always run fore and aft as yours do, but the gratings never had openings against the head ledges or coamings. To achieve this easily it is better to make the gratings first so they have a solid edge all around then make and assemble the head ledges and coamings to fit the grating.

For the future as well, if you need proper cannon patterns for Spanish guns at the time ST, I would be very happy to send you 3D drawings so you can have them made inexpensively.

I just purchased the same kit, hope to start on it while I am also working on the Occre Endurance, but it does look like quite the undertaking, will look forward to. your posts as I get into it.
