The chain plate chains over guns, did they just connect to bottom of support rail!

In the real boat, I doubt it, in the model, looks better than making them in an angle jut to avoid the cannons

Happy with the wood, but not happy with the metal, will probably redo it, probably more rust, since I'm not getting the desired effect with paint chipping, we will see
