The Show was designed and built by David Westergard in Lunenberg, NS. It was launched in 2019 and sold in 2022 said David.
I saw it on the web when it was for sale; contacted David Westergard seeking permission to make a radio controlled version of the schooner. He gave me permission and then contacted his CAD designer who sold me a Line Plan of the vessel. But, there was no drawings of the deck arrangement, the cabin, the masts, nor sails or rigging! All of that was left up to me. Using what photos were available on-line while it was still for sale, and a couple photos sent to me of a half-hull which David had made, the project began.
David was not available after the project started for further details nor after the projects construction, though I did meet his son this summer. Lucas recognized the model as a representation of “The Show” and the schooner he helped his dad build. This was gratifying to hear, that the model was recognized as a good representation of the actual schooner.
The model is 34” loa including bow sprit. Beam 10” Draft is 4”
