Schooner "Albatros" from Constructo

Your work, Sasha is a great example of what you can do with an average quality kit! Many thanks for sharing with us your build log!

For those who cannot (unfortunately :D or fortunately :p) read Russian or Armenian, this is the bottle of Armenian cognac (Ararat, the mountings in Armenia). Cognac is a dessert drink that is very famous for its aging in barrels (before it will be put in a bottle). The more it 'sits' in a barrel, the more value (expensive) he is! Historically, Russian viners (former USSR) grade the cognac by Starts: each designation 'Star' represents the single year of sitting (aged) in a barrel. So 'five' starts is five years of aging!

French viners grade their cognac differently. The designations you see on Cognac labels —VS (Very Special), VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), and XO (Extra Old) are a guarantee of how long a Cognac has been aged. VS indicates that the Cognac has been aged at least two years, VSOP at least four years, and XO (Extra Old) at least six years.

*** My personal observations: Just because cognac is labeled XO, it doesn't automatically make it taste good, it is just at least 6-year-old of age. ;)

Sasha, I appreciate your images and your work. The images are sharp, clear and indicate the level of detail you place in your builds. Nicely contrasted images show the rigging well.
