Schooner "Swallow" Ласточка (Ru), 1:72 from Alexander

Hallo Sascha, a very nice model, great job. It's good that you continue here again. I'm hanging on to it now.
Thanks, Adi.
In fact, this is my main model, just for various reasons it was paused. There has been some research and development of new elements according to the scale. Work is underway to design and manufacture carronade machines and flag boxes in the stern of the ship. All this does not allow to move on yet.

Hello everyone and thanks for the comments and likes. As promised, there are some updates in this construction site. I didn't like the rudder feather loop. I decided to redo it.
The two loops in the middle were with bindings that were not symmetrical.
this photo shows what is the reason

The old hinges were carefully removed from the rudder blade.

The log behind the hinge is a toothpick ROTF

So far I have made only one loop. I spent the whole evening with her. You need to solder the pin, then cut off the loop itself, mark it, drill holes, make nails. Well, and then install all this on the rudder feather. It will look like this.

I make round hats on nails with this tool. First, I roll the wire on a washer with a blunt knife, it turns out a hemisphere at the end. And then I finish it with boron.

And this is what my workplace looks like. It’s still warm, I’m working on the balcony. Yes, there is not enough space, but I'm used to it. I try to do all the dirty and dusty work in the warm season. And then, when it gets cold, I move to the kitchen20210929_211642.jpg

Hello everyone. As promised, a small update in this construction site. I decided to go into jewelry (considering the 72nd scale).
This model has carronade ports that are closed by two half-covers. The lower one was hinged, attached to the body, the upper one was closed by hands. It makes no sense to make the upper half-covers, so I started making the lower ones. The half-roof itself consists of 7 boards with a width of 1.7 mm, and 3 boards outside with a width of 1.8 mm.

For these half-covers, you need to make hinges. So far, this is a photo of a workflow only, and not the final result. But suddenly someone will benefit. So. Brass tube with a diameter of 1 mm, and inside 0.5 mm. At the end, I make a hole first with a 0.3 mm drill, then 0.5 mm.

I apologize, I still could not catch this hole in focus on the phone. Then a wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm is inserted into this hole and soldered. It turns out this is the structure.

After soldering, the inside of the tube needs to be drilled with a 0.5 mm drill to clear the insides. After we take the plate, on my scale it is 0.2 mm thick and 0.8 mm wide, and we bend the end around a 0.5 mm corner. The junction must be soldered.

further everything is simple. The 0.5 mm wire is cut to the desired length and the whole structure is connected. I made a spherical head at one end of the wire.

I made 1 pair last night. Previously, this is how it will look.

There are still 13 pairs left to make.;) Well on this model, not 100 guns ROTF
And here is the list of tools that I needed to do this job.

The magnifying glass did not appear in the frame ROTF . In general, something like that. I continue to work. And yes, even one thing - this is not in the set. This is my initiative. Great weekend to everyone.
