I couldn't wait to get this one going as unlike the gpm kits it comes with everything you just need glue and knifes.
Here's what I got.20200614_100216.jpgAnd a selection of the color pages.20200614_100245.jpgAnd the plans are easier to follow and are more self explanatory.20200614_100356.jpg20200614_100341.jpgAnd the pile of card witch saves having to go buy more.20200614_100414.jpg

looks impressive - what was the postage cost if you don't mind me asking - I quite fancy a bit of retro with the Chris Craft Futura.

Nice, thanks for that - I presume you emailed them because I can't fathom the ordering system on the website

Schreiber is a very old and reliable company with principle good service.
Ordering is also possible directly from their web-page in english
With this you can save some money

aye I tried their website but the only thing you can put in a 'basket' is their catalogue! I've emailed them so I'll see.

It is all paper and card and that's the challenge there is add on extras for the trumpeter one but at the price asked I will stick with the card one

I have finished off all the hull plating so while it's drying I will now get on with the multitude of fittings.20200620_180753.jpg20200620_180803.jpg20200620_180823.jpg20200620_180833.jpg20200620_180901.jpg

Here's the next update I have constructed the two wings for the props and also mad up the props witch were a bit fiddly.
And I have completed the framework support's for the next deck.
I also have made up the stand witch was just as difficult and at last I have a use for the 1000 little figures that I brought some time ago20200621_101724.jpg20200621_112025.jpg20200621_131949.jpg20200621_133705.jpg20200621_134212.jpg20200621_184322.jpg20200622_174150.jpg20200622_174212.jpg20200622_173014.jpg20200622_174923.jpg

Coming along nicely but one thing you might want to consider is edge coloring to avoid the white edges. I have found Neocolor crayons which are watersoluable and blendable that I scribble on a scrap paper, mix with water then apply with a wet paint brush.

Now that I have my figures time to restart even though they in modern colours once the promonade deck walls are on I shouldn't look to bad.
And I have started on the bride walls and that includes cutting out the windows and I will add a piece of clear plastic when I install them.20200628_165848.jpg20200628_165910.jpg20200628_165939.jpg20200628_193339.jpg20200628_193344.jpg

I am getting to the end of the main build and I am now starting on the multitude of smaller parts and here's just one vent from a flat piece of card to finished article.
And two more in place.

The insanity continues all the boat deck structures are finished and I have the port side promonade deck enclosed.
Also I have chosen to cut out the windows on the enclosed section on the promonade deck20200702_152310.jpg20200703_123214.jpg20200703_123228.jpg20200703_123220.jpg20200703_123235.jpg20200703_123239.jpg
