This is a model I made of wood and 3D printed parts. The Video is my build log. I love the 1950s simple plywood boats that where built out of garages. See how I built this Vintage 1950s wood outboard motor boat model from scratch. Learn where to get vintage 1950s boat plans. How I made a 3D outboard (1:12 scale) vintage 1950s Johnson outboard and gas tank to fit the scale model. Also Decals to fit the Johnson Outboard and tank. The outboard 3D STLs files to print on your 3D printer are available on my Cults3D.

Very cool project! While it's relatively simple, it packs in a lot of valuable learning opportunities and clever techniques. Great work!

OMG, that outboard looks a lot like the one my father bought about 1955 and passed down to me 20 years later! It saw a lot of time on the water helping get to the bass and walleye!! Beautifully done.

Yes those were the days, one hand on the throttle and one hand on the pull cord to start the adventure of hooking a largemouth and spending the morning on the lake. Thanks for the memories Carl.
