Always on the lookout for an interesting sailboat design to possibly work up. This one we saw on vacation along the shores of Lake Geneva. Some say it is a Folk boat and is probably less than 20'. Anyone have information they could share about its design? What might be under the tarp?1581783141819.jpeg1581783141819.jpeg1581783141819.jpegD3704462-A9E8-4BB5-9559-EE72459C1E47.jpeg

Hi Grandpa
Great to see the Folkboat in the frame for modelling. I sailed these when I was in the navy back in the early 70's. They were, and I am sure are, wonderful boats reputedly the most popular cabin cruiser ever built.

Plans a plenty for these on the net if you search for Folkboat (all one word). Hope you will continue your build log, looks amazing.

In home self-iIMG_9838.JPGIMG_9839.JPGIMG_9845.JPGIMG_9847.JPGIMG_9848.JPGIMG_9850.JPGsolation allows for continued building. So much has been done since my last posting. Hull is planked and fiberglass applied; RC gear installed and all systems are working; Jib sail was copied from another model, has been made and installed: All sheets are running smoothly. Rudder is installed and works well with double arm control to servo.

Currently build the cabin and removable cabin roof.
