Shamrock V in a bottle

I have seen videos on YouTube of people building ship in bottle from scratch with just a piece of wood.
I decided I would try it.

I wanted to make Shamrock V, a J class I have see sailing, when I was younger.

The hull plan are easily findable on internet an I drew on a piece of paper the shape of the hull

Making the hull was easier than I thought.
But carving the wood was scary and the first shape was a bit ugly,


Also I carved to much the keel so I glued a little piece of wood.
The symetry isn't perfect but I'm quite happy with the finished hull.

Hello everyone,

Well it will definitely dont enter in the bottle I wanted to use at first...


I installed the mast the cabin and a wood triangle to make a hatch.
Also, I have made gunwales too.

Like I said befor,e the symetry is realy not perfect but I like the result.

I will keep you update of my progress but it's quite interesting to make.

Hello Uwek and thank you for your message
It's been a long time since my last update.
I did the sail with tea bags painted in white and glued it to the mast.
I have almost finished this project.
Last thing to do is to cut the wires and put a cap on the bottle.
The glass deform a bit but here are pictures.
