Sheets Chain?

My build calls for “sheets chain” for the booms. It shows nothing on how the attach them either to the boom or deck.

Does anyone have any idea on what these are, their purpose and how I attach them?

The kit is OcCre Cala Esmeralda.

That is exactly what I ended up doing. I'm still not sure of the purpose. Looks interesting but more decorative. Thanks for your replies. I'll post a photo later.

Oliver, if you ever return to this build, installing The running rigging per cryptic instructions is a huge challenge.

I plan on completing this model at some point but had to put it aside because I broke my hand about 4 months ago and have no dexterity for the fine stuff of rigging. It’s getting better but way to slowly for my sanity…

I do have an e-copy Lennarth Petersson’s book on rigging fore and aft craft that has been helpful in a general way for interpreting the rigging for this schooner. But you are correct that the rigging plan leaves much to interpretation.
