Hey there, another refugee from ModelShipWorld here

I'm a brand new model maker working on my first build. I got into it in the process of reading Patrick OBrian's Aubrey/Maturin series. I've now completed the series and am reading Horatio Hornblower by CS Forester, which does not compare to Aubrey/Maturin in my opinion, but does scratch that naval itch

I'm building HMS Sherbourne 1:64 by Vanguard Models. I've no model making experience of ANY kind. I was getting along nicely by using all the great resources on ModelShipWorld. There were plenty of Sherbourne build logs there, which were invaluable to me. As well as all the other resources on the forums, such as reading up a ton on brush painting with acrylics prior to taking that step on my build. And if there was something specific that I couldn't find, people were always happy to answer any questions that I had. Such a shame what happened to MSW

But I was happy to discover Ships of Scale here. I've been poking around a bit and the site seems great. I'm sad to lose MSW, but am happy to be here nonetheless. I'll get my build log going sometime soon, but in the meantime here's where I'm at- currently gluing in the (forward) inner bulwarks

Nice to meet you all!
