Shipwreck on the beach.

I love weathering ships, stagecoaches, Railway cars, trucks, structures, etc. I use flat acrylics, and chalk pastels for shading. I once did a model of Buffalo Bill's stagecoach as it was when it was returned to Concord New Hamshire for the Smithsonian Museum.018_2_2.JPG

Once completed I had to throw the diorama out as it just became too heavy with all the sand I used, just poor planning on my part. I took lots of pics so I am satisfied with that. I had the same problem with a RR diorama that I did it just got larger and larger and after a while, I had no place to keep it. There is not much interest in the old west these days but there again it was lots of fun to make and I really enjoyed it. It is kind of like in Hollywood with all the elaborate sets they make then take the pic and tear it all down. You know I kind of like the pics better anyway.
