Sovereign of the Seas - Mantua, Sergal

That's awesome! Your model is looking great. Do you have a build log going? How old is your kit? It's gonna be nice to have another build to help me through this

I don't have a build log yet, just started this about 3 weeks ago. And I have been out of the this hobby for about 25yrs. This is my first build just getting back into in. The kit that I am building is from the early 80's, (first run of the kit) the castings on my kit are solid bronze. I think yours are made of white pot metal that is electroplated. And another thing different between mine and yours is.... the first plank set on yours will have side panels for the cannon ports, mine is all planking.

Hey Doug,if you plan on adding sails to your.model, you may want to go on ebay and look for pre-sewn sails. I just found a set made for our scale/manufacturers of ship. Already made, the guy is from the UK and there's only one set left.

Hey Doug, how are you doing on your build? I received those sails I was telling you about and I'll post some pics. Just wanted to know how you are doing with the planking so far.
