I have temporarily paused work on the Pegasus, which I will finish shortly, and in the meantime I have begun a new challenge, or rather, a double challenge: the basic idea is to build the same model twice, namely the Speedwell from the splendid monograph by David Antscherl and Greg Herbert, first in 1:96 scale complete with all its equipment and then the same model in 1:48 scale, leaving only the hull to appreciate its splendid curves. I hope I succeed!

Hello!

I'm following your project with great interest. It will surely be another wonderful ship in 1:96 scale, just like your little Venus. Have fun and good luck!

Regards
Andreas

המבנה שביר מאוד, בהתחשב בדקיקותו. מסיבה זו, החלטתי להשלים את הקרשים של העבודות העליונות לפני שאעבוד על פנים המודל.

wonderful work my dear friend, I will keep following with great curiosity

Lovely build! It is hard to tell from the photos, did you taper the knee of the head fore and aft and the post from top to bottom as explained in the books? Thanks

Allan

I'll do it later, when I finish the exterior of the model.
Ciao Giampy
FWIW I find it is a lot easier to do the taperiing before assembling on the model especially the stern post. If I don't taper the stern post when making, the inner post pairing cannot be done without a lot of chiseling and such. The below may be more clear than my words although it is not to scale and a bit exaggerated.

I'll pull up a chair and join your followers. You seem to be making a lot of progress.
It's a great idea to create both a complete, small-scale model and a larger one to show off the details.

Your model is a beauty! The TFFM book series has to be one of the best ever for ship modelers. While geared towards scratchers there is a ton to learn for kit builders as well.
