Hi all--I'm sure I'm not the first one to do this--I've snapped off the end of a mizzen mast spar at almost the worst possible time. Creating a new one is the right answer but I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to repair it in place in a way that will be secure enough to take rigging lines. Simple gluing would work and look good but I'm wondering about strength. Any thoughts would be most welcome! Thanks

Hi Y.T.--Thanks so much for your suggestion--exactly the solution and it's come out well. Thanks to the pin I could sand it a little more aggressively and hide the line. In a few years I may not even remember it's there! Appreciate your help.
