When I opened the box, the first thing that stood out to me was the profound change in size of the ship from the HMS Beagle (1:60), which I am currently building (I am showing my ignorance here). I knew the Endurance was bigger, and I thought the 1:70 scale would bring it down to a similar size. Boy, was I wrong...
I bought a few books to read while doing the build. South With Endurance is mainly a photographic reference, while Endurance is about the story.
