Hi am creating this model a client in 3D for printing, but there are things on the blueprint I do not know what they are, and was wondering if you guys could help me.
On some steam trawler models I has seen this area as a pipe, what for? whats the thing at the end of the pipe? is a bollard? with motor? or just an exhaust?

Thanks in advance.

So far this is how is going

The large pipe height is estimated since is not complete on the blueprints also the large mast size is not there. The anchor hole is not there neither. Should I make a drainage hole along the deck? my plan is to add ribs and hand pass borders later. Sorry if I not use the ship's language.

ghder.

Do you have a profile view you can post as well as the name of the vessel in the original drawing?
Thanks
Allan

Alsa have this picture, but am not sure is the SS James R. by counting the letters on the ship name does not match, maybe is just the photo quality.

Thanks with you help and chatgpt found out I need to find a picture of a "steam trawler rudder quadrant" to model it.
Don't put too much stock into anything 'ChatGPT' has to say about something like this. ChatGPT only 'parrots' things posted online by people who say many things, a lot of those things being totally 'false'! The current state of online AI still leaves a lot to be desired... 'nough said!

Agree AI are not good for this so far, found out is not the "quadrant" what I need pictures of, I think is some kind of roller fairlead.
May be like this?

This dotted line in yellow is not on the deck lvl, so is not the chain, so what is that line for? hand rail?

The dotted line is to show that the steering chain pipe runs the full length of the deck house.
In this case it’s showing the port side steering chain plate as a hidden item ( its behind the deck house in Profile)
I believe that it would be above the deck to keep it more rust free from constant seawater exposure.
Though it was greased heavily to stay in good working order.
