HI ALL HAVE A QUICK QUESTION, I AM USING DANISH OIL WATCO BLACK WALNUT, CAN I USE TUNG OIL ON TOP OF THAT AND THEN POLY, OR JUST USE POLY. GOD BLESS STAY SAFE YOU AND YOURS DON

What is poly? polyurethane varnish?

Make up a test piece of the wood you are treating and try it. From my furniture restoring experience I would not have thought that poly would sit well on an oil rub and might give an orange peel effect. That said, I have never tried it, so do a test piece and let us know how you get on.

Don, you certainly can apply tung oil over the stain.

What are the different characteristics between Danish oil and tongue oil? Also, after applied, can deck furniture be glued to either or both?
