Need some experience, how do you make a stern tube at home? I have a ship in 1:70 scale

We would like to see what you’re trying to achieve. Is it for a motorised model or static display?
It's for a motorised model. Before the start of the war in my country, I bought ready-made solutions, but now this option is missing. I have an idea to implement it using sealed bearings with an outer diameter of 5 millimeters. But perhaps there are other options that are not so expensive and complicated.

You could try the old fashioned way by making a bearing of lignum vitae or similar dense species wood. I have no idea if it still used, but it was on ever ship I sailed in the 60's and 70's.
