Amazing - great work on your model - or I should say "Ship"
No that was a different one" SS Tamahine" and it fell through, it was going into the Interisland ferry terminal in NZ but thats all gone to S%^T as government can't manage moneyDidn't you say that this was for a customer?
Thanks Mike, Its hard to stay focused on a such a large overwhelming job, some days I seriously wish I had not plated the hull and just gone with a normal smooth one, but then having all the plating plans and a ship that had such prominent distortions in her plating it would just not sit right with me.I am pretty happy with the effect I have done witha pizza cutter on a rubber mat.My hats off to you for being able to stay with the project for so long and bringing it to fruition.
Hallo @rsdsAfter leaving the styrene for 18 months to see if it stays bonded to the hull in our extreme temeperatures I can report indeed it has, we have gone from 5 to 38 c over that time and it does not come off unless I chisel it off bit by bit. I can safely say I am safe to proceed again. Only with the proper commercial cyano "Starbond" though which is amazing stuff.
