Are you planning to build the Ohla-like ropewalk?

Since a few days I'm starting to make rope and cable. I've purchased a very simple ropewalk and good quality thread from Gütermann and most importantly I convinced the admiral to convert her domain (the kitchen) into a mobile ropery. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and go for it.... I used the kitchen isle, which provides me with a sturdy long flat surface. I can use clamps to attach the ropewalk to the kitchen counter top. Oh boy, you should see my face and hers when I also took the cordless drill out to operate the ropewalk. Fun and joy I tell yah!
