Greetings everyone from Perth, Western Australia.

I have just been given a half finished model of the Endeavour.
It belonged to a 40 year old man who has recently passed away.
His family would like to see it finished to remember him by.

I'm currently working on an oil painting of the Endeavour rounding Cape Horn.
and have always been fascinated by Cooks voyages'.
So I have volunteered to assemble the Ship....
Most of the parts seem to be there but I have no instructions of how to proceed.
any plans or instructions would be fantastic.

Do you know which company made the model?

https://model-craft.se/produkt/endeavour, if its Corel I dont know where to find instructions

Depending on age of kit purchasing, it could also be one of the versions above. In that case, plans and instructions are generally available.
Cheers!

Ok, its the first link I posted above and again here:
Click instructions and there is a part list and 4 instructionslinks.

You can use the search function here to look up other builders logs of this ship, just type in the name and click search.

You may be able to find usefully information that others have come across on how to's or problems and how to fix in their build logs.

Please start a build log and show where you are, and what your doing, the fine folks here will chime in to help.

You might say where your located as you never know who is in your neighborhood down under.

I purchased the book "Änatomy of ships Endevour" from the Maritime Museum in Sydney many years ago. Perhaps they still offer. If that fails Google it and youre sure to find a supplier in OZ. It is very detailed and goes way beyond what youll fiind in the plans shown by others above.

I will start a build log once I get all the equipment together.

Hi,
I'm also in Perth (Maylands) and I'm 42 working days into building the same vessel. It appears that we have reached about the sane state of build. I've given myself between 2 and 6 years to complete. Partly because there's no rush, partly because my eyes are weakening and partly because I'm headed out of town for three months this year...
So this is just to say G'day and wish you well. This is my first ship-build so I can't give you the advantage of experience. But if you strike a problem or a smart solution to one feel free to make contact.
I do have a CD. 516 pages of instructions. And some extra info from Corsair of Florida. My CD wouldn't load so I had it put on a thumbdrive. Maybe it will email? Or I can make a copy and send?

Cheers Jake from Maylands

Jake,

What a happy typo - the sane state of build -

We probably all relate to that state, and it’s opposite.

…. Cheered me up for the day …. Time in my workshop to come that doesn’t involve modelling.

Hello Carlos form the other side of the world, England UK.
My name is Derek and I built the Endeavour from a Caldercaraft Kit 1/64th Scale some 4 years ago.
My very first model ship build. Now working on the Mary Rose from 1511..

I should have the drawings and instructions in myhoard and will dig around for them. When I find them I would be more than happy to send them to you.
There will be not costs what so ever as I no longer need them.

If they will be of use to you please let me know and send your postal address, and hopefully you should receive them if they are what you want.

Best wishes and happy ship building

Hello Karlos, Derek here.
Have found the Build Instructions and 7 of the 8 drawing sheets for the Endeavour. Missing sheet 4 details of the masts and yards will look further this evening.
If I cannot find the drawing sheet, then I can measure up the items on my model, and draw them out for you. Otherwise I have the full set that I am happy to send to you. Please let me know if this is what you are looking for?

Best wishes Derek

Karlos,
I am sure that you ae aware of the history of the ship HMS Endeavour as the vessel of Captain Cook RN who in in Pommy parlance "discovered" Australia.
The ship was never preserved but as a great tribute to the significance of HMS Endeavour to the history of Australia a full sized replica was built in Australia and resides in Sydney. She is fully seaworth, and has sailer around the world and visited the Netherlands and England. It is worth searching this on the internet.
There are photographs on the www of these visits and I have some here that I can send to you with the drawings. These picutres are handy in showing details of rigging, anchor lashings and other parts.
Best wishes Derek

Derek,

I'm not telling you what to do, but just recommending that you don't post your telephone number on a public forum. Web crawlers are constantly scouring the web for that type of information, so don't be surprised if you start receiving LOTS of calls you don't want. You can edit the posting you made and use the personal messaging capability of this forum to send your number in a direct message to Carlos.
