Hi everyone. I present you my long time thing with boats. When I was 17, I was on a vacation, and fell
on a large wooden ship wreck on a beach. I did something wrong, and took a saw and cut a small piece of I think the keel.
Ever since, I have put a piece of that wreck in the place of the rudder, to steer my models away from trouble,
Like a lucky charm.... I present you the future rudder of my Sovereign of the seas, which is under way. You will see
the plywood rudder provided by Mantua, the 3 pieces ship wreck wood rudder, and a piece of my shipwreck wood.

I wonder if we could buy timbers from the USS Constitution in Boston maybe?
I have the hard bound book "Logbook of the U.S. Frigate Constitution". On the cover of one is a small piece of wood taken from the timbers of the ship during the last rebuild over 40 years ago. If you are a fan of that ship, the logs would be intersting reading for you. See the link in the name for the leasty expensiove copy I could find available right now. There are pieces of wood from the ship still available, taken from the ship at different times. Google "wood from uss constitution".

I have a key ring with a fob that has a picture of Cutty Sark stamped on it made from metal from her foremast. I bought it in the RMG gift ship over thirty years ago.
