The Mary Rose has always been on my wish list, really enjoying this build, learning alot, bulwarks nearly done and nearing the stage ready to add the 2nd deck, really pleased with the deck colour, I used sapele stain. I've never built a carrack ship before, and I'm now realising The Mary Rose is a bit above my skill level, and I'm finding the instructions a bit hard to follow, but this is how we learn. Just take my time, and it will be a beautiful ship when finished.

Hi. I built this model (the log is on here) and enjoyed it very much. Looking good so far, maybe start a build log to keep us updated?

Hi, Thanks, I've been looking at your build log its been helping me decipher the instructions as they are not easy to follow. this build a bid above my skill level, but I will get it done, I might even be brave and add a third deck as you have, seeing how it's done. Your model is amazing, and your build log is great. I will upload a build log at some point.

Thanks

Those old long narrow barrels look so funny compared to what is normal on many ships.

Your work is looking great, keep it up.
Yeah, they found alot of breech loading cannobs when they raised her from the seabed. According to Mary Rose book and museum, there were 91 guns in total and four decks. It's a shame Caldercraft didn't go into full detail on their model, as they have only done two decks and 34 guns. This model is a challenge its self, but it would have been a great model to build to exact records.
