I have been building plastic kits for several years. I decided to venture into wood kits a few weeks ago. I bought a wood kit for beginners and it is so totally different. My kit was a Model Shipways kit # 950 The Dinghy. I’m almost finished and will post it later when completed.

i agree about your choice of starting model.after building several models that were probably above my level i wanted something easier, so im working on the model shipways sharpie schooner. its not all that simple but its a great little model. im going to have to fudge the rigging though. cheers
