I’m looking for recommendations on the best type of paint for wooden models. For my plastic models, I use Humbrol enamel and Revel acrylic with an airbrush. While I understand that preferences can vary, I’d appreciate a general perspective on what works best for wood.

For paint I use enamel (Humbrol and Testor's). Also have some old Floquil paints. Wood stain, Minwax. I feel oil-based paint is easier to apply and adheres better.

I have a quick question for you. Do plan on brushing by hand or airbrushing? This makes a difference when using oil based paints vs acrylic.
