Graham Thank you. Purpose aside, they are fine looking ships and part of history. I would like to build one.
I did a quick search and found one (kit) by SERGAL. Has anyone built a whaler? I did not see anything in the forum search.

Hi. I know of the Charles W Morgan by Model Shipways - I also posted photos of that ship in this section, though whether it is the Model Shipways version I do not know. The museum model is, however, a fine example. A sad trade, as you suggest, but still part of the heritage of my home town of Hull (England) hence a maybe greater focus by the museum. Regards.
