Thanks Ken, I will be easing back into it before long.Daniel, sorry I'm late, but very happy to hear everything went smoothly for you. Now get back to work on that beautiful ship!
Hello Mike, thank you for the well wishes, this second go around has been so much better than the first time especially mentally, on the first go around for the first few months was an emotional rollercoaster. As a fellow pacemaker user (wearer??) I can fully empathise with you Daniel and wish you all the best with the procedure and a swift, full recovery. I got my device 2 years ago following a frighteningly-named “total heart block” incident and was told then it had a ten-year ‘battery life’ so I’m lagging behind you a bit.
Adding my best wishes to all the others here and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hello Jerseyman, thank you for the blessings, if you are becoming a candidate for a PM, I pray for peace of mind and spirit to be with you. Placing my fears in the Lords hands is so very comforting.I'm dealing with a slow down of the old mainspring too. God bless you and your surgeon's hands. My good friend a retired Methodist minister says "fear is a lack of faith." I try to keep that in mind. Our utmost for His highest!
depends on what version you had installed. The early versions, they had to cut nerves in the heart that meant that the heart would only function if the pace maker had power. The rayovac inside it dies, so does the user.I’ve been threatened with an ICD (sort of ‘smart’ regulator) and nowadays they’re small, to fit under the skin, and clever enough to call home if they think intervention is needed. They do remote updates too. Not sure about recharges.
For myself, I’m suspicious of a device that claims to handle any eventuality. The story of progress is one of bright, better inventions that fail.
How many ships went down for each ‘improvement’ before the kinks were worked out.
“We’ll never need enough lifeboats for the entire ships complement”
So you have another voice petitioning Gaia for a successful pit stop for you.

these batteries were actually developed in america. patents and technical data were disregarded by China as usual.I hope everything went well Daniel.
I just read where the Chinese have developed a nuclear battery that could last up to 50 years. Maybe it will be ready by the time you need another one and it would be the last time you have to go through it.
Of course you might glow a little bit ...
Thank you Mike.Rest up Daniel and if you need anything let me know. Since we are neighbors I would be glad to run some errands for you if you need something! Magic Mike
Thank you Peter, good to hear from you by the way. The incision is healing nicely, can't wait to sleep on my side! All the best for the operation Daniel and hope you have a quick recovery. Outpatient operations are typically low risk and routine so nothing to worry about. You will soon be back on deck and ready for your modelling….
Keep well,
PeterG
