I was struggling to work out block sizes for 18th/early 19th century ships so developed the attached spreadsheet based on the book “The Elements and Practice of Rigging And Seamanship, 1794, by David Steel.”
If you enter your scaled mode rope diameter in either metric or imperial it circulates the dimensions of the various parts required to fabricate a bock.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve it I’ll be happy to take the comments on board.
