Triangle links

Anybody know what a triangle link is? On my Rattlesnake plans it shows the longboat being tied down and using triangle links. I've been searching
the internet far and wide with no luck.

I believe that is something you have to make from the piece of 1/32 brass rod that is included in the kit. Not sure as I haven't started on my Rattlesnake yet, but that would seem to make sense to me.
