or how to get much build time from a cheap simple kit.

When I read that the same Dutch (read German) design agency made the Soviet S-Class and the Swedish Delfinen II, I began to think.
It looked like the S-13 in 1/400 could be a good starting point for HMS Delfinen in 1/350. Just need to shorten it a bit.

I cut a couple of mm from the stern and then about 4 mm of the middle.
The Sjölejonet class is very similar to the mine laying Delfinen class so I'll try to build that as well.

When I started with this and compared the model with a side profile, of Sjölejonet it looked very easy.

But it needed much Magic Sculp.

The basic shape of Delfinen is starting to fall into place. This might work.

The wooden deck has been added but I destroyed the hatches for the mine chutes so I need to re-scribe them.

I was glad to find that I could use the sail of the kit as a start for modifications.
I started with the sail for Delfinen by adding some plastic to the bottom.

and adding some plastic strips to get the basic shape.

HMS Delfinen on the way.

The sail of Sjölejonet was longer so it needed more work.

Sweden has had submarines since Hajen back in 1904. That sub still exists in a museum. Now we have the Gotland class that scared the US Navy so much that they leased it to train against the silent threat.
This was the Gotland "against" the US carrier "USS Ronald Reagan , or?
