USF Essex. Admiralty style model 1/64 from Takakjian plans

I hope one day I will understand the meaning of techniques differences of "planking on the cutter carvel built" versus of a "lapstrake".

Thank you for all the likes.
What I am about to decribe may irritate the purists out there but I hope they take it in the spirit in which it was meant.

The Howard painting of the Essex shows an indigenous warrior probably Iroquois/Mohawk toting a tomahawk bestriding the head...
Great job on the sculpture and painting!

The USNA has a statue of Techusah (google it). He was the figurehead on a ship (USS Deleware) which was sunk in the Civil War. The mids paint it before football games so there are lots of different pictures.
