Group,

I’m currently building the Artesania Latina kit, USS Constellation. This kit was discontinued but is still available on eBay. It’s a nice kit but I’ve discovered some design flaws that would likely give a lot of modelers problems. Fortunately I discovered them before I started construction when I reviewed the photo essay book and have corrected these problems and will give my solutions in the practicum.

I’m about a month into constructionand am currently apply the first ot two layers of planking. This practicum should be available i about 3 to 4 months. A separate masting and rigging practicum will be made available at a later date.

If anyone is interested in buying this practicum when I release it, please email me at lauckstreet@gmail.com .

Thanks,

Bob Hunt

Keith Julier has a build log with several issues of this model in one of his Period Ship Handbooks, main point I found to consider was the gun deck gun placement issues before planking...

There’s quite a few design issues in this kit that I’ve identified. I will be covering each and every one in my practicum along with the fix I came up with to resolve each issue.

Bob
