I had a great rejoinder for you, Clair, but I opted to forgo the potty humor...for now.
Finished installing all the lower deadeyes and over half of the hammocks. Unexpected benefit of hammocks: gluing them down between the nets has solidified my rickety netting. It kept coming unglued before. 
Why did I ever decide to do the hammocks? I could’ve been doing the fun stuff like rigging instead!

I’m thinking about cutting off the museum purposes railings above the hatches so I can install the turning sticks (beams?) into the capstan. What think ye?

But being as you asked for other folks opinions, I would remove the ones by the capstan, and probably put a grate over them, Then the others I would attempt to just cut the top part off straighten them out a little, and use some thread to turn them into railings where they don't appear to be in the way of anything.

Given an option I would agree @MystRacing . I love your build so dont get me wrong, but the railings just dont say "war ship" to me, they
say "dont be a dummy and fall down the hole". Either way though, your work is astounding.

Hello, I believe their purpose (rails) to hold the cover in case of rain or storm. If you going to remove them altogether, you will be left with holes in the coamings. You will most likely need to re-do them...Do you ready for the changes?
