Even though I have several other ship kits under construction I decided this one will be the easiest to get done quickly and also I will have the opportunity to photo document the entire process. Now that I have a set of Camouflage colors for US Navy ships in the pacific during WWII I have decided to embark on several projects at once. The paint comes from Lifecolor and is acrylic enamel, it comes in sets of 6 bottles a bit smaller than Tamiya paint and is somewhat pricey. One reason for starting with the England is that the colors are simple. Everything above the waterline is dark blue/grey.
The England was famous for a running sea battle with Japanese submarines in May of 1944 during which she participated in the destruction of 6 of them.

The kit contains almost as many parts as the Fletcher and Gearing class destroyers. Many are very small and hard to handle while removing excess sprue. At this point I have glued the main deck to the hull, attached the forward superstructure and various small parts along the length of the deck. I will post images as significant progress is made.

Need some help with what might be considered a minor detail. The kit comes with twin rudders but I have other resource material indicating just a single rudder similar to the configuration of the Fletcher class. The Sumner and Gearing class did have twin rudders.

The USS England was a Buckley class

Here is the complete list of all vessels of the Buckley class

and here you can search for the individual ships of the same class to find a lot of photos - maybe also a photo of one of these vessels in the drydock etc.

f.e. the Slater, but this was a later Cannon-class -> so I wish a successful research

2 Rudders for Buckley class.
The old Revell Buckley class model had 1 Rudder whereas the real ship had 2. Trumpeter has it right- 2 rudders.
I located some specs of the Buckley class
