USS Enterprise 1945 Meng 1/700

I wish I had been into plastic models in the '70's before my father- in-law passed away. He flew off the Big E in WWII numerous times and would have loved a model of her.

is it possible to get a closer shot of the island especially the 2 fire directors?

going by your last picture showing the portside of the island, that shows it is pre-August 1943 configuration. the 2 fire directors, 1 forward & 1 aft are mk 28/33 directors not the mk 37's she got the next few months from overhaul & upgrade. that open top enclosure in front of forward director was removed during that overhaul & upgrade process. the searchlight platform on the portside of the funnel is to wide as should be only 1 searchlight wide.
