I have added some photographs from my visit to the replica of the Amsterdam ship, build in 1985.
"The original Amsterdam was built immediately 1748, at the Dutch East India Company (VOC) shipyard. It was designed too carry produce between Asia and the Netherlands. But the Amsterdam never gone that far. When the ship left Texel in 1749, it ran in a feroucious storm on the North Sea. Things didn´t go well in the end the Amsterdam stranded off the English coast near the Port of Hastings".
