Hello friends
I am currently building the Caldercraft HMS Victory and the construction booklet mentions "rigols" located above the gunport lids.
I woder what are these rigols and what's was their use?
I appreciate your input
Cheers

The rigol above a gunport lid would help deflect rain and spray so water would not run directly into the gunport or down behind the lid. They protected the opening from water ingress and helped keep the gunport area drier when the lids were closed.
