What glue is best ?

I use super glue but initially had problems applying it. then I bought some plastic adapters from China (Aliexpress), now I can apply it one drop at a time. Also has the advantage that if I do not use the tube for some time, I just have to cut off the tip of the spout & I am back in business. A lot less glue on the fingers too

As for less or no glue on fingers I cut off finger tips from latex gloves then discard after done with modeling. Do most of you use gel CA for pieces settings while using liquid CA for ropes and chords?

My little drop in this disscussion
I discover for myself oiled CA. This is the same CA with small quantity of oil.
This “set” don’t spread, but worked fast and hard. Of course, if you apply too much glue, it will live some sign, but reasonable quantity invisible.
I use it not only with rigging, but with wood, when I can’t use clamps. 10 second, live fingers and let it dry about half an hour
Source Temu. Ask oiled glue.

Thank you... what kind of oil: mineral, petroleum ? Wouldn't gel CA function the same as oiled CA?

I know these, very liquid. I use the same and buy it in a local store. 3x 3ml tubes just 70 cents. But don't use the plastic tube. Use the needle like I mentioned in post 7. I bring a drop of glue on a little plastic card and dip the needle in. The drop will be liquid for about an half hour to one. Depends on the temperature in the room. The needle can be cleaned with a lighter. Just burn the needle and whipe it with a cloth. Works perfect and never too much glue.

I only use the Alteco CA listed below, or Titebond Ultimate wood glue. The Alteco CA is super strong & very fast drying , works well on wet-wood, but any excess glue has to be wiped off immediately with an industrial strength cleaning towel. Also have to be careful with using metal and plastic clamps.
When using this CA I always have an electric fan on pointed towards my work project, and an open window nearby when weather permits.
