I think we should have a thread where people can post the information they have on a ship and get help from the crowd to figure out which ship it is. The idea occured to me today while watching a Kuga's Travel video on youtube which briefly flashed the image of a Swedish ship from approx. the 1600's. It looks similar to Vasa but the artwork of the stern is different.

Have you already found out what kind of ship it is?

Actually, if it's a modern art image, it may not be from a real ship at all, no matter how pretty it looks. Heck, the Spanish ship San Felipe model was built by hundreds of modelers for the past 65 years and all the models are gorgeous... but the ship never existed despite three model kit companies selling hundreds of kits complete with beautiful cover art and a history of the ship's exploits... which never happened.

The image you posted appears to be someone's attempt to draw the Vasa or is an artist's idea of a Swedish ship, based on the Vasa. If it was intended to be the Vasa, It's not completely accurate, just as some modelers believe the San Felipe is supposed to be an attempt to make a model of the Real Felipe, a ship which did exist, but which no one today has any idea how it actually appeared.
