Who could ruin one of Grampa's sails? Who is yelling at my great granddaughter for spilling juice on my sail which i had been working on for hours. There is only one person at fault for this minor disaster. When i arrived at the scene and picked up my little sweetheart who was crying little tears i calmly sat her in my lap and asked - How did you know that was the color i wanted on that sail? She lit up a little and she smiled, really? Of course, i said, just needed your help.

Totally Grampa's fault...........Happy Holidays fellas!

I had a friend who was scratch building an electric power transmission high line tower in HO 1:87 scale, to fit a specific spot on side of big hill, he had about 100 hours of work and came home one evening to see he made a big mistake!Redface

He forgot to move the tower from workbench to secure storage area and CATZILLA came in and jumped on the workbench and played with his tower! o_O

He said it was about 50% destroyed and salvaged what he could, to rebuild again. Said he can't blame the cat for his errors. :p

I applaud your reaction to the little one, don't know if I could have done that.

Hello Dale, You have just given me my daily smile, Thanks. I guess this sort of thing is what makes Grampa's very special.
Regards Lawrence

I need to embrace that mindset myself - thank you for sharing - a good way to start the New Year !!!

Every time you look at that sail, it will bring back sweet memories of that grandchild. It doesn't get better than that. That is what Granpa's do. Give unconditional love! Happy and New Year.

Perfect!. Top maks Grampa! I too am a Granda, and it is all about the Children. Make memories...since they were aged three, I sometimes have my two Grandsons oaged 6, and 11 years, help me with my wee projects. Understandably, it means sometimes when they go home, I have to re-do the job... Don't tell them...It is usually only the loss of bits of wood, and these grow on trees...but the memories of the Kids might last a lifetime...He he. Well done Sir.
